If you're the right individual for this full-time position, you will have experience with low-voltage wiring, communications, networking and/or AV equipment installation. You'll also know your way around active residential and commercial job sites as well as the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Pulling wiring during construction, terminating cables, and installing AV/IT equipment will be a daily occurrence, so you'll need to know something about those tasks before applying. You must be able to work effectively with others, taking instruction from the Lead Field Technician [LFT], Site Supervisor [SS], and/or Project Manager [PM].

You'll also possess the desire to learn a lot more about our emerging industry, taking interest in how wiring schematics and drawing sets ensure successful projects and happy clients. Learning all about the new technologies and concepts in our industry will get you out of bed in the morning. We'll be sure to check in with you regularly as you embark on your journey, growing and learning within RMS.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Site Supervisor [SS] and Lead Field Technician [LFT] to complete all tasks related to the installation of technology systems, including wiring, equipment racks, A/V components, automation systems, and data networks.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic construction methods a must. This position requires tasks be performed indoors and out, on new and existing structures and job sites.
  • Ability to work on active job sites including ladders, platforms, crawlspaces and attics safely and efficiently, as well as the ability to use most common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience with industry brands such as Lutron, Control4, Crestron (and more) a plus.
  • RMS to provide industry- and brand-specific training as required. Field Technician expected to learn skills as required and recommended by [SS] and [LT].
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and excellent work ethic required.
  • Projects located in Central and Eastern PA. Some travel required for client projects outside of our traditional service area.

If you're the right person for this full-time position, you will have at least 1 year of electrical services experience. You'll have the ability to perform basic electrical service installations with little to no supervision and to a high degree of quality. You must be able to work with others and take direction from the Lead Electrician [LE] or Director of Electrical Services [DSE].

You will be responsible for loading and unloading the required materials for a project and helping to track materials used on a project or service call while working on some of the coolest residential and commercial projects in Central and Eastern PA.

If you're the right person for this full-time position, you will have at least 4 years of electrical services experience. You'll have the ability to perform all aspects of electrical service installations with no supervision and to a high degree of quality. You must be able to work with others and lead a team throughout the different stages of a project. Having the ability to read and understand construction documents is a must. You'll need to be able to communicate project requirements and progress from onboarding to completion, as well as communicating possible project scope changes to ensure projects are managed properly in accordance with the RMS Vision and Mission Statement.

You must also be a team player, taking instruction from the Director of Electrical Services [DSE] and then being able to lead yourself and Field Electricians [FE] safely and effectively through the required series of tasks to complete projects to a high level of quality in accordance with RMS standards, as well as providing constructive feedback on Field Electricians [FE] and Junior Field Electricians [JFE] for areas of competence or improvement.

If you're the right person for this full-time position, you possess amazing verbal and written communication skills, can write a world-class email, and have the initiative to ensure all project-related tasks are completed diligently and thoroughly. Multitasking is a breeze for you as well. You'll need to have knowledge of construction processes and job sites, as you'll be communicating and coordinating with the RMS team and various other contractors and trades.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring each client's experience with RMS is of the highest quality. This team member will travel, via a swanky RMS-provided vehicle no less, to working RMS job sites located primarily in Central and Eastern PA. You'll be teamed up with amazing people, consisting of Systems Engineers [SYE], Site Supervisors [SS], and Systems Programmers [SP] to work through the challenges of ever-evolving job sites, conditions, and new/emerging technology and equipment. You'll visit active job sites regularly to ensure project success, so bring a nice sturdy pair of boots and PPE. If you don't have PPE, we'll gladly provide that for you.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee ongoing projects with regular site visits and thorough communication with RMS Site Supervisor [SS], GC, other trades, and clients.
  • Manage schedules in coordination with other RMS Site Supervisor, GC, other trades, and clients.
  • Communicate with Site Supervisor on any scope changes (client- or condition-initiated) and ensure all work is completed to RMS standards for quality and finish.
  • Coordinate with RMS Site Supervisor to ensure project is being completed within allotted labor budget.
  • Initiate and coordinate project Onboarding and Hand-Off meetings with pertinent RMS team members.
  • Record and communicate to Site Supervisor and Systems Engineer [SYE] and plan markups due to scope changes, site conditions, etc.
  • Communicate and coordinate with RMS Design Consultant/Sales [DCS] for any budget-related changes. PM responsible for receiving approved change order from RMS Design Consultant/Sales prior to initiating change to project scope.
  • Participate and contribute to project Onboarding, Site Survey, and Hand-Off meetings to ensure project success.
  • Verify necessary project equipment is in-stock and ready for installation and communicate any missing items to the Systems Engineers and shop foreman.
Systems Engineer [SYE]

If you're the right person for this position, you'll have extensive mechanical and technical knowledge in the technology/construction/IT fields. You will have the ability to think in "3D", knowing how things go together with high levels of precision and accuracy.  You'll also know how to convey those ideas via text and graphical plan sets. You can't leave well enough alone when things are just "OK", knowing they can't be just "OK". You'll dive into projects head-first, eager to create beautiful plan view, elevation, section, assembly and schematic drawings. You might just know a thing or two about how wires should be labeled as well.

Once a project is approved, you'll be brought on to the Production Team to take the assets created by the Design Consultant/Sales [DCS] and Sales Engineer [SAE], and turn them into an amazing, world-class solution that our install team can efficiently use to ultimately knock our client's socks off. You'll be teamed up with amazing people consisting of Project Managers [PM], Site Supervisors [SS], and Systems Programmers [SP] to work through the challenges of ever-evolving job sites, conditions, and new/emerging technology and equipment. You'll visit active jobsites regularly to ensure project success, so bring a nice sturdy pair of boots and PPE. If you don't have PPE, we'll gladly provide that for you.

You'll need at least 3 years of System Engineering experience to be considered for this important role.

  • Responsible for updating all documentation through project completion and ensuring as-built documents are complete and accurate for successful hand-off to support team.
  • Expected to meet on job sites regularly to ensure documentation is accurate throughout life cycle of project.
